About Us
Founded in 2009 by mind driven scholars and development practitioners who were concerned the need of refugee communities in the US and humanitarian deepening vulnerabilities and huge development gap in East Africa regions, Pan-African Community Development Aid (PACDA) has been Missouri’s go-to agency serving in East Africa as well as Kansas City’s refugee and Immigrant communities. We provide services aimed at promoting and building self-sufficiency and equity in Kansas City and East Africa region.
In the US, we help Students struggling with low-incomes or poverty face daily barriers to school success. These barriers include – food insecurity, lack of transportation, unsafe housing and unmet health needs. Our primary purpose is help children’s, youth and families to overcome the social and economic obstacles that impede growth while maintaining our cultural heritage. PACDA’s youth programming helps the refugee and Immigrant youth, whether they were born in the US or arrived this year, catch up, keep up, and get ahead. Through cooperation and collaboration with our partners (US Federal Government/Missouri State) and sponsors, we help connect individual’s wraparound resources and assistance on: after school programs (tutoring, helping home works), enrichment programs, housing, jobs and training, health services, legal advice, domestic services, immigration assistance and more. PACDA is registered as a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by the US IRS code.
